Inspired by industrial transmission gears, we engineered this skeletal wandering hour watch. Specifically, a central star-gear chassis with exposed screws frames rotating satellite hour discs paired with a curved minute scale beneath sapphire crystal. Simultaneously, a modified Miyota 8215 caliber ensures daily reliability.
Drawing inspiration from heavy machinery transmission gear trains, we engineered this custom wandering hour watch around an exposed mechanical layout. Specifically, a central steel star gear chassis features skeletal three-arm bracing fixed with visible machine screws. Simultaneously, this open-worked structure exposes internal gear engagement directly above the matte black dial. Consequently, the overall layout disrupts traditional closed dial faces while delivering a clean, mechanical visual profile.
Where standard sports watches utilize conventional hands, we integrated a modified satellite mechanism into this custom wandering hour watch. Therefore, three rotating hour discs mounted beneath the skeletal arms pass sequentially across the right-hand minute arc. In fact, the curved scale running from 1 to 4 o’clock mimics automotive instrument gauge readouts to track active minutes. As a result, the dial delivers a clear two-tier mechanical reading method without central hand interference.
Meanwhile, powering this custom wandering hour watch is a modified Miyota 8215 caliber operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz). Additionally, this 21-jewel mechanical caliber incorporates a mainspring assembly providing a stable 42-hour power reserve. Simultaneously, protective sapphire crystal shields the multi-layer dial geometry against daily wear. Turn the watch over, and the exhibition caseback reveals internal gear movement and automatic rotor assembly.
