Inspired by the deep cosmos, we designed this avant-garde vertical tourbillon watch. Specifically, a matte black sandblasted dial houses a 5 o’clock retrograde small seconds and a 9 o’clock vertical rotating tourbillon aperture. Simultaneously, powered by our ultra-thin 4.5mm movement with hand-finished bridges, it delivers dynamic mechanical performance. Drawing inspiration from the depth of a silent night sky, we created this vertical tourbillon timepiece to capture cosmic grandeur on the wrist. Specifically, a deep black sandblasted dial absorbs excess light reflections, creating a velvety matte texture interspersed with shimmering aventurine-like particles that mimic distant stars. Simultaneously, this rich monochromatic backdrop sets the stage for advanced mechanical architecture. Consequently, the overall design bridges celestial poeticism with high-end independent watchmaking aesthetics.
Where conventional watches rely on flat, two-dimensional dials, we introduced a structured, sectional layout for dynamic time display. Therefore, at the 5 o’clock position, a retrograde small seconds hand travels across a precision-gauge scale, snapping back instantaneously upon reaching its terminus. In fact, at 9 o’clock, a vertical rotating tourbillon breaks traditional horizontal constraints, presenting the heart of the movement as a living mechanical sculpture through an open aperture. As a result, the watch converts constant timekeeping into an engaging visual dialogue.
Meanwhile, taking technical cues from classic F.P. Journe complications, our master watchmakers engineered an in-house vertical tourbillon caliber measuring just 4.5 mm in thickness. Additionally, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 21 jewels and a 40-hour power reserve, the movement delivers unyielding rate stability. Turn the watch over, and the exhibition case back reveals exquisite hand-finishing: radiating sunray brushing across the bridges contrasted against fine concentric graining on the counterweights.
